  1. My daughter ws bullied by a neighbor boy before she started elementary school. She would go outside to play, and come back inside, crying. He liked to hurt her and make her cry. I am not mean or a bully myself, so I didn’t understand why the parents of the kid, didn’t take him in hand for bullying a little girl, half his size, and much younger than he. I gave her a broom handle, and told her to hit him if he started to pick at her. It certainly stopped the problem for us, although the parents didn’t like my solution, I convinced them that it would continue, until they made him stop hurting my little girl. sometimes you have to resort to offensive mode instead of defensive, or maybe they are the same. She learned that she didn’t have to put up with it, and how to protect herself. He learned not to beat up on defenseless children, who have parents to teach them to fight back. Am I sorry for it? Only because I didn’t want my kids to grow p thinking that violence is normal. But it seems to be catching on, more and more every day. Parents MUST take a hand in stopping violence of all kinds.
